PM Wishes Best of Luck To All Participants From The World For First-Ever Yogasana Sport Championship

On 4th June 2026, the first-ever World Yogasana Sport Championship was held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This was a 5-day event that brought together 500 athletes from 70 countries, including Oman, Zambia, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Mauritius, Japan, and the Netherlands. This meet showcased talent across multiple disciplines, including rhythmic pairs, traditional yogasana, and artistic forms of yoga, across different age categories. It included both female and male athletes across junior, senior, and sub-junior levels.
 
 Discipline-specific competitions such as twisting body, leg balance, hand balance, forward bend, and supine levels were held. The National Federation of Indian Sports, Yogasana Bharat,  organized this event in association with the Indian Olympic Association and the World Yogasana.
 
PM Modi joined this event on 4th June through an online mode. Yoga is becoming popular, said PM Modi on a social media handle. The championship has brought together all the Yogasana athletes at one place. Modi also wished best luck to all the participants for the first-ever Yogasana competition.
