Minister of Japan for Science and Technology and Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science and Technology, had a meeting to discuss cooperation across sectors, especially in the health and medical devices field. Dr. Singh said that India and Japan can work together in research and innovation for better impact on society. India is expanding its missions in clean energy, quantum technology, deep-tech sectors, and electric mobility, along with Cyber-Physical systems that build new opportunities for industrial collaborations and joint research.
The Japanese minister highlighted India's economic growth and contribution to innovation in AI. She expressed confidence that agreements will promote application and industrial deployment. MoC (Memorandum of Cooperation ) was also exchanged in the field of medical devices and health, and the meeting concluded with both sides' partnership in research, innovation, and technology collaboration.
